As Flight Test Engineer in your domain, you will ensure ensure product safety by providing essential and unique expertise to influence and permit decisions in certification and continued airworthiness. In addition, you will support other core technical activities of the Agency. Your main accountabilities will be to: n Verify in close coordination with the EASA test pilots, also via direct flight test sampling and within the defined level of involvment, the demonstrations provided by applicants for compliance with the applicable requirements; n Contribute - under the coordination of the Project Certification Manager, in cooperation with other experts and by issuing a statement of satisfaction - to the approval of new type designs, repairs, changes, service instructions and STCs on relevant products; n Participate in the identification of the applicable certification basis of a project and, when necessary, in the development of interpretative material, special conditions or equivalent level of safety to cover new technologies, novel applications of existing technology, and novel proposals for compliance demonstration (*); n Provide advice in the development of new airworthiness requirements, including relevant parts of Aircraft Certification Specifications and advisory and guidance material in co-operation with the team in charge of the development of regulatory material; n Define the level of involvement by selecting the retained items for verification based on risk assessment; n Support the investigation of relevant in-service occurences to ensure all necessary actions are taken to maintain safety standards; n Ensure cross panel coordination with certification team and experts of other disciplines; n Provide assistance and expert advice within the Agency (i.e. Operational Suitability Data (OSD) activities, organisation approvals, accreditation activities, standardisation and training, safety recommendations)*; n Provide assistance and expert advice outside the Agency (i.e. industry, academic organisations and governments); n Ensure technical coordination and training for less experienced experts in the flight and HF disciplines; n Represent the Agency externally when mandated to do so. (*)As necessary, in coordination with the Chief/Senior Experts.
