Organizational Setting and Work Relationships

The Information Management Associate supports the production and dissemination of information on the population of concern, including but not limited to Protection and Programme information.

The incumbent operationalizes data standards developed at the central level in field operations, compiles and explores data from all populations of concern. S/he supports the Programme Team and UNHCR¿s implementing partners in the choice of indicators for monitoring to be included in sub-agreements as well as the Protection Team in operationalizing protection monitoring systems.

¿ The Office delivers reliable, accessible and user-friendly, relevant, predictable, appropriate and timely information. 
¿ Global data standards, and where appropriate, the establishment of country-specific common data standards are adopted by UNHCR and its partners.

Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)

Under the supervision of the Protection Officer, the Information M. Associate will:

¿ Use Kobo Collect to accurately process collected information on residents, their needs, and services and assistance received. 
¿ Key person to upload and run reports and coordinates the inputs of partners to make sure the quality is preserved and monitored.
¿ Perform data entry.  Download data regularly from the ASSIST system/Activity Inf onto Excel and manage the Excel documents.  Use Excel to produce summary statistics and graphs and contribute to Area specific dashboards.
¿ Maintain databases with constantly updating information and confirming complete data accuracy.  Undertake quality control exercises.  Identify challenges and problems with the recorded data and suggest solutions.
¿ Support the SN Shelter/NFI, CCCM and Protection cluster coordinators and coordinate with UNHCR staff and other organizations on data and information.
¿ Provide field-level capacity building for data collection enumerators.
¿ Attend on a need basis, the coordination and cluster meetings pertaining to Protection/Shelter/NFI/CCCM activities as appropriate, provides IM input and support with a view to support evidence-based assistance and coordination.
¿ Pending the roll out of ASSIST across the south, should be responsible for managing the beneficiaries lists for the cluster.

¿ Liaise with partners and represent UNHCR in meetings related to the functions.
¿ Make recommendations and provide advice on the technical information management requirements

Relevant Job Experience
Essential
Experience with handling confidential data and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies.
Desirable
