The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing the Infrastructure for Tomorrow—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. We began operations in Beijing in January 2016 and have since grown to 103 approved members worldwide. We are capitalized up to USD100 billion and Triple-A-rated by the major international credit rating agencies. Working with partners, AIIB meets clients’ needs by unlocking new capital and investing in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled and promotes regional connectivity.

The selected candidate will assist in AIIB’s financial accounting and reporting, particularly in the preparation of financial reports and maintenance of daily accounting duties. They will provide support for various accounting and financial reporting functions.

  • Perform daily accounting duties, complete general ledger operations in the financial system (SAP), assist with period-end closing, reconciliations, and other financial accounting duties.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as requested, administer accounts receivable and accounts payable, and account/bank reconciliations, etc.
  • Review and process expense reports, and assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis on transactional movements at the trial balance level as well as the portfolio level and compare these against historical performance and prepare reports for Management.
  • Prepare general ledger adjustments before period-end closures.
  • Review the subledger vs general ledger reconciliation results, investigate reconciliation breaks and analyze the variance.
  • Participate in IT system-related projects and process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other accounting duties as assigned.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant practical experience working in an international bank and/or large organization.
  • Analytical, problem solver and solutions provider with a sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Effective organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • A team player who can communicate for results.
  • Possession of a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from a reputable and internationally recognized institution would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor degree or higher educational achievement in Accounting or related fields.

AIIB is committed to diversity, transparency, and inclusion. We believe our strength comes from having a team with the right diverse skills, experiences and abilities selected through a merit-based competitive process. We actively encourage applications from people from both within and outside AIIB members, regardless of nationality, religion, gender, race, disability, or sexual orientation.

Join in AIIB’s mission to promote sustainable infrastructure investments and to improve social and economic outcomes in Asia and beyond.
