Job Overview:

As part of the HR Operations organization, HR Shared Services Associates support employees, managers and the wider HR community by processing transactions in HR systems throughout the employee life cycle. In addition to processing transactions, Associates serve as an initial escalation point for HR inquiries. This position requires a customer service focus, discretion in handling confidential data, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Deputy Director, HR Operations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process HR transactions (including hires, transfers, reorganizations, terminations, job and personal data changes, organizational changes)
  • Respond to requests for employee verifications
  • Support the background check process
  • Maintain compliant personnel files
  • Respond to 1st level HR-related inquiries from employees
  • Partner with HR Partners, In-country HR Leads and focal points globally to solve HR administrative issues
  • Liaison with key functional areas (Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and IT teams) to ensure transactions and documentation are current, timely, and accurate
  • Proactively suggest process improvement to enhance the efficiency of HR admin processes

·Performs other duties that support the HR function (reporting support, meeting facilitation, etc.)

Preferred experience & skills:

  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years HR Administration/HR Operations/HR Shared Services experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to shift priorities as needed
  • Proven skill at handling stressful issues and interfacing with all levels of the business in a courteous and professional manner
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and Payroll
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solver
  • Workday, Cornerstone experience a plus
