The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policymakers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

The OECD has earned a leading role in financial and enterprise issues. In line with the Strategic Orientations of the Secretary-General, the core mission of the OECD’s Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs (DAF) is to assist markets to fund inclusive economic growth, and in turn Better Lives, through producing leading research and analysis, setting and implementing standards, providing capacity building and technical assistance, and acting as a forum for co-operation and collaboration across the OECD Directorates, external stakeholders, and International Organisations. DAF’s work is structured under two work areas - conduct and markets - and its mission is pursued through seven substantive divisions whose teams provide member and partner countries with policy guidance, analysis, and support in the areas of competition, anti-corruption, corporate governance, responsible business conduct, financial markets, financial consumer education and protection, and international investment policy.

DAF is looking for communications officer(s) who will implement effective and innovative communications strategies and lead the work in several Divisions.

  • Manage and maintain the Division’s web presence. This includes preparing/updating web pages, presenting material online in a way that maximises visibility and discoverability in line with the OECD corporate priorities, and co-ordinating the integration of relevant material horizontally across the OECD.
  • Contribute to the dissemination of work via engagement with the media, social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and other communications vehicles (e.g. blogs, newsletters).
  • Provide communications and organisational support for high-level public events, including co-ordinating visual signatures, providing templates for agendas and other materials, producing conference signage, co-ordinating associated promotional activities and liaising with media and sponsors.
  • Work with authors, the DAF Communications Unit, and in collaboration with PAC to co-ordinate the preparation of publications, manuscripts and working papers for dissemination online, in line with the corporate guidelines. This will also involve advising authors on editorial processes and options, respecting priority-setting and OECD-PAC standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality communications materials (e.g. brochures, PPTs, infographics, news releases, videos) to enhance the dissemination and engagement potential of Division outputs.
