DCD Programme

The Role

We are looking for DCD Programme who provides thought leadership and represents Oxfam in Syria Programme.  She/he strategically develops relevant and innovative humanitarian programmes in line with Oxfam in Syria Country Strategy, international standards, Oxfam ONE Programme Approach and Oxfam Humanitarian Approach. She/he ensures that programmes strategies are adjusted according to the local context, key standards of reporting, programme quality and accountability are met, and that there is adequate integration of various programmes (WASH, Food Security, Gender and Protection). To monitor and evaluate the programme’s impact and ensure shared programme learning, as well as ensuring appropriate fundraising to meet programme’s ambitions. The post holder works closely with the Humanitarian Coordinator to support programme delivery and with the Advocacy and Policy Advisor to ensure strategic synergy between programme and advocacy objectives.

What we are looking for

Our next DCD Programme will be accountable for ensuring community participation shapes programme decisions, actively seek a partnership approach and worked following feminist principles including strong awareness of power dynamics, and is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and is expected to be committed to Oxfam’s vision and values and lead with integrity always. S/he represents Oxfam at senior levels with authorities, the UN, donors, local partners and other external stakeholders.
