BACKGROUND:

InternationalRescueCommittee (IRC), along with Ibis Reproductive Health, Ipas, African Population Health and Research Center and Resilience Action International, is conductingastudytoexplore anddocument women’s experiences with abortioninhumanitariansettings in Bidibidi refugee settlement camp.Theteamisseekingindividuals withexperienceconductingqualitative interviews forstudies, preferablyforresearch about sensitivesexual and reproductive health issues.

Job responsibilities:

Qualitative interviewers will havethe following:

  • Completeatraining in researchethicsand attend an in-person study training in mid-January in Bidibidi
  • IdentifyandrecruiteligibleparticipantsforthestudyincoordinationwiththeStudyCoordinator and community partners.
  • Obtaining verbalinformed consentfromeligiblestudy participants.
  • Schedulingand conducting face-to-face in-depth interviewswith study participants
  • Completing Field note format the conclusion of each interview.
  • Reviewing audio recordingsto ensure high quality data is captured
  • Transcription of audio recordings into text format.
  • SendrecordedaudioandField note forms toStudyCoordinatorforreview.
  • Ensure all study procedures always follow ethical standards.
