In India, CHAI has worked on various initiatives with the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and has served over 350,000 people in the country, including children, mothers and caregivers since 2004. CHAI today supports myriad programs, both at the State and Central levels, across nutrition, child health, immunization, pneumonia/diarrhea, tuberculosis and HIV etc.

 

The Joint Effort for Eliminating TB (JEET) project aims to set-up effective and sustainable structures to strengthen existing systems and seamlessly extend quality of TB care to patients seeking care in private sector. To this effect, CHAI will set up Patient Provider Support Agencies (PPSA) in nine cities to provide continuous, end-to-end engagement of private sector to provide quality TB services to patients seeking care in private sector. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with outstanding credentials and with experience working in TB control to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Mapping the universe of private sector doctors diagnosing and treating TB patients. Understanding their prescription potential and building the TB patient referral network for these doctors
  • Engage and ensure high potential doctors and their referral networks become part of the program
  • Map and engage chemists and laboratories surrounding target doctors
  • Promote the program through regular in clinic communication as per call plan
  • Ensure quality execution in terms of detailing and conducting scientific activities to engage doctors
  • Meet chemists and ensure availability of FDCs
  • Coordinate closely with Community Based organization (CBO) field staff to ensure seamless delivery of services to TB patients
  • Ensuring notification of all confirmed TB cases within the territory
  • Data collection and reporting as required; validate information collated by hub agents and treatment coordinators
  • Maintains confidentiality of the tests and patient related information
  • Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • B.Sc (Bio chemistry, Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics) or B.Pharma or PG (any specialization)
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales at a pharma/diagnostics/hospital
  • Prior work experience with public sector is preferred
  • Sound understanding and preferably experience of engaging with RNTCP program and structures
