About the Role:
AIIB’s Office of the Treasurer (TRE) is setting up processes and systems across its operations to allow it to scale up to the needs of AIIB. This internship position will delve into an area of need for TRE as determined at the time of the internship. Possibilities include the following: work on enhancement to modelling capabilities including to the Long-Term Financial Projection and cash management projections; assist in the research on investment possibilities within certain market sectors or strategies; develop funding marketing materials to assist in marketing AIIB issuances; or develop tools to automate treasury operations processes, among other possibilities.
Responsibilities:
• In coordination with the TRE team to which they are assigned, analyze the detailed business needs for the team as well as identify possible solutions.
• In conjunction with a team member, develop the project plan, including milestones and outputs, and then deliver to those milestones and outputs.
• At the end of the internship, in addition to providing all the deliverables of the project plan, provide an executive summary presentation on the project, its impact to TRE, and recommendations for further improvements / additional projects in the area.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Masters/MBA or PhD program, preferably in finance, international business, and related disciplines.
• Ability to develop models in Microsoft Excel and/or Access. Familiarity with Power BI would be an advantage.
• An interest in finance and international markets and how a multinational development organization operates in those markets.
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment as TRE adapts to AIIB’s needs.
• Ability to take guidance in project direction but also to be independent in completing project deliverables and searching out solutions to problems.
• An enthusiasm for learning across treasury operations but also a willingness to dive deeply into a specific area of those operations, as determined at the outset of the internship.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great team player.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
