Org. Setting and Reporting
The incumbent is responsible to the Area Loan Supervisor.Responsibilities
In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures the incumbent:
(A) Promotes and retails credit to micro-entepreneurs and small businesses through visits to designated local market and industrial areas to support business development by financing working capital and investment opportunities;
(B) Promotes and retails consumer and housing loans to low-income households through visits to their workplaces and households to provide finance for household assets and home improvement;
(C) Ensures screening of prospective borrowers, including visiting the businesses and/or households, completing the loan applications, analyzing the loan requests and recommending disbursement;
(D) Through individual marketing and promotion channels, ensures financing new and repeated loans to increase the size of the portfolio;
(E) Monitors and leverages an adequate healthy caseload of active borrowers;
(F) Follows up on payments of performing portfolio to ensure adequate repayment rate;
(G) In coordination with the relevant MD staff, follows up on payments of bad portfolio from delinquent clients to reduce its volume;
(H) Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
(i) Ablity to work within a team;
(ii) Effective interpersonal, communication and markiting skills;
(iii) Customer focus with commercial judgment;
(iv) Familiarity with the local market needs;
(v) Problem solving ablities;
(vi) Ability to cope with change and pressure.
Completion of a two-year post secondary diploma in accountancy, business, marketing or other related commercial discipline.

B.1 Junior Loan Officer- grade level ML3A (Entry level)
This first entry level is for fresh graduates with no working experience (Any prior working experience during study will not be considered as qualifying experience).
B.2 Loan Officer- grade level ML3B
This level is for qualified Junior Loan Officers to move from grade ML3A to ML3B. The minimum eligibility criteria include:
i) Completion of three years of relevant working experience, including in microfinance (as a Loan Officer), sales or marketing;
ii) Maintaining a very good performance (“Meets Expectations” as per the applied performance system standards) throughout the whole period of service as a Junior Loan Officer in MD.
Good command of spoken and written Arabic and English

Monthly basic salary:
For ML3A: 120.000 SYP, additional to other allowances 220.000 SYP
For ML3B: 131.940 SYP, additional to other allowances 220.000 SYP
