Intern, Infrastructure Investment - Transport

About the role:

The purposes of the internship are the following:

•           Support AIIB’s Transport team in developing an assessment of the transport sector in a country assigned by the task manager.

•           Support AIIB’s Transport team in project preparation and updating of the transport unit cost database.

 

Responsibilities:

•           Conduct literature review of specific transport modes in the assigned country, including transport performance, issues and challenges, available government national, regional and sectoral development plans, etc.

•           Collect data on transport infrastructure projects (highway, metro, railway, bridge, bus rapid transit) to serve as input for the unit cost database.

•           Support the team on research and coordination tasks, including background research on project location, drafting meeting minutes, and drafting/editing project-related documents.

 

Requirements:

•           Currently enrolled in a Masters/MBA or PhD program. Background in transport engineering, economics and/or finance is desirable.

•           Passion for international development.

•           Excellent communication skills.

•           Able to work with a diverse team.

•           Fluent in oral and written English.
