Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The Reporting Associate will fulfil internal and external reporting requests. S/he is supervised by the Reporting Officer or another professional staff depending on the staffing structure of the Office. The incumbent receives regular guidance and advice from the supervisor. Advice and operational support may also be received from other senior staff and support units at the Country Office / HQ. The incumbent will establish strong liaison with both internal and external parties, including Donors, UN Agencies, and Implementing and Operational partners.


All UNHCR staff members are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description. They do so within their delegated authorities, in line with the regulatory framework of UNHCR which includes the UN Charter, UN Staff Regulations and Rules, UNHCR Policies and Administrative Instructions as well as relevant accountability frameworks. Duties
- Stay abreast with the operational developments and assist in the preparation of briefing notes and reports.
- Assist in consolidation of data and facilitate the preparation of periodic reports including Sitreps, Fact Sheets and other activity specific reports.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to gather information.
- Work closely with Information Management Unit to ensure accurate and standard data presentation.
- Assist in the development of funding submissions, appeals and reports.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Consolidate and provide inputs for donor reports.
- Enforce compliance with reporting requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Years of Experience / Degree Level
For G6 - 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher

Certificates and/or Licenses
Post-Sec Training Certificate

Essential
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.

Desirable
Experience with dealing with the public and diverse stakeholders.

Language Requirements
For General Service jobs: Knowledge of English and/or UN working language of the duty station if not English.

REMUNERATION

A competitive compensation and benefits package is offered. The monthly net salary is between TRY 11,091 and TRY 13,918 depending on relevant experience, dependency status and language proficiency. ======================================================================================================== I. Nature of the Position

The Reporting Associate will assist UNHCR¿s Policy Development Unit (PDU) in monitoring and reporting of progress in implementation of the activities, in presentation of achievements and impacts recorded within the scope of of the Project 'Reinforce Effectiveness of National Asylum Procedures in Compliance with International Standards and National Legislation'. The incumbent is expected to fulfil reporting tasks delivered through periodic reports, meetings, presentations by the Unit and is expected to be abreast of all developments in relation to the action for timely submissions of high quality reports, debriefs and background notes, and other documentation as required. S/he will liaise closely with the relevant Units engaged in the Project's implementation to consolidate and collate accurate information and data on implementation, including indicators to inform the internal and external reports and presentations.

II. Interaction with Persons of Concern of External Stakeholders

The Reporting Associate may interact directly with the beneficiary of the Project, national counterparts, and relevant Units with the purpose to acquire relevant input for reporting as well as monitoring and evaluation requirements. S/he is expected to report feedback of participants of the project activities to support reporting on feedbacks and evaluation. The incumbent is expected to build and maintain effective interfaces local and central authorities and partners of the Project.

III. Reporting and Managerial Expectations

The Reporting Associate is a member of the Policy Development Unit (PDU) and reports to the Assistant Protection Officer, under overall supervision and oversight of the Head of the Unit.  The incumbent is expected to engage in cooperative work with the team members complementing the team spirit. 

IV. Additional Languages, Skills and Qualifications

In view of potential communication requirement with the counterparts in the local language, and reporting purposes, the incumbent needs to demonstrate excellent writing and speaking skills in Turkish and English. The incumbent is expected to have high level of computer literacy and experience in drafting, documentation, and data presentation via being aware of the available data visualization tools in this regard. Temporary Appointment at the GL6 level within the Policy Development Unit from as soon as possible and until 31 December 2022 with the possibility for extension.
