Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an experienced Director of Foundation, Organization and Institutional Relations. Reporting to the VP, Global Foundation and Institutional Relations (FOI), the Director manages a team of two Donor Relations Officers. The role has a strong fundraising component, but also contributes to the strategic leadership of FOI relations in the US and toward the implementation of the Global FOI Framework. The director leads the team and actively participates in identifying pipeline opportunities, targets and share FOI forecasts, and pre-positions Habitat, coordinates FOI activity and decision-making in partnership with relevant colleagues. The role works to strengthen relationships by working collaboratively across Habitat’s network to demonstrate high levels of quality, productivity and service, which leads to strong internal/external partnerships. The position will contribute in building internal capacity around the innovations, investments and impact tracking required to position Habitat as a partner of choice and secure transformative grants.

The position works with collaborative, evidence-based program teams to to drive and deliver on a US FOI team target of approximately $8M annually, increasing to $12M+ annually in three years’ time and contribute to team success. The Director works closely with the VP of GFOI, Resource Development global leadership and US Office leadership to identify and establish sustaining internal commitment and internal resources required to pre-position the organization, pursue and maximize resource opportunities and to meet HFHI fiscal revenue goals.

This position is located at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA on a hybrid basis, with several days in the office and several days working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

* Direct donor relations internally and externally, manage the GFOI team pipeline, targets, and forecasts (55%)
-Contribute to and implement the Global FOI Framework and relevant donor strategies in partnership with internal HFH colleagues.
-Lead a collaborative process with HFH colleagues on FOI activity and decision making including the pre-positioning, forecasting, Go/No Go, proposal development processes and the review of proposals.
-Identify opportunities through forecasts and market intelligence to establish effective strategic FOI relationships to help achieve HFH’s objectives.
-Develop and manage external FOI relations globally and regionally including facilitation and convening globally as well as maintaining the CRM system.
-Direct all aspects of administration for the GFOI-US function including budgeting, key performance indicators and metrics, and related processes.
-Development and/or stewardship of key and pivotal donor relationships for a robust pipeline to resource the mission.
-Development of quality, winning proposals, concept notes and submissions for delivery of a robust pipeline.
* Support and collaborate with the VP, Global Foundation and Institutional Relations to support and drive catalytic change, necessary innovative programs and program design that anticipates or is in line with the FOI donor landscape in order to effectively contribute to Habitat revenue targets. (15%)
* Develop, capacity build and train staff on GFOI tools for effective fundraising and C-suite/program engagement. (10%)
-Contribute to design of pre-positioning and other relevant GFOI tools and provide capacity building, training, support and advice to the HFHI network leading to development of FOI champions.
-Contribute to stewardship of awards in partnership with Grant Managers
* Manage staff, interns, and contractors (20%)
-Manage direct reports and contribute towards the supervision of the involvement of external contractors (e.g grant writers), interns, and contribute to the roster of consultants- as deemed appropriate by VP, Global Foundation and Institutional Relations.

Requirements:

* Pursuant to current HFHI policy, this position requires full vaccination against COVID-19, except to the extent such requirement is prohibited by applicable law.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 6-10 years of related experience and proven FOI partnership/fundraising skills.
* Experience in fundraising strategy development and relationship building with professional foundations and institutional donors (i.e., USAID and World Bank).
* Demonstrated success in leading and maintaining FOI donor strategies.
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English with excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
* Excellent team building skills and eagerness to mentor and manage a growing team; experience training and guiding colleagues in other offices.
* Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Experience using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Teams, Word, PPT, etc.
