  1. Organizational Setting

The post of ERP Technical Lead is located in the Enterprise Solutions Division (ESD), Department of Program Planning and Finance. The Enterprise Solutions Division is responsible for the evolution and maintenance of WIPO’s portfolio of ERP Administrative and Management applications collectively known as the Administrative Integrated Management System (AIMS). AIMS portfolio of products includes a combination of commercial off the shelf (COTS) and custom developed applications based on Oracle Hyperion, Taleo, PeopleSoft FSCM & HCM, Acuity Stream (for risk management) and others.

  1. Purpose Statement

The ERP Technical Lead brings cohesiveness and quality in executing the technical vision of the department. S/he is responsible for ensuring all technical development, integration and solution design is completed in accordance with industry best practice, establish the technical standards and provide the oversight required to ensure consistency and quality of all AIMS development work.

  1. Reporting Lines

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Director of Enterprise Solutions Division.

 

2.      Duties and Responsibilities

 

The incumbent will perform the following principal duties\:

a.   Manage the solutions & architecture design, implementation, code reviews, testing, debugging, performance tuning, documentation, validation, for AIMS technology solutions;

b.   Manage interactions and collaboration efforts with other software engineers, information security teams, developers, network specialists, service provider and peers to provide expert technical advice in relation to ERP, MS Dynamics, Cloud integrations and other AIMS custom solutions;

c.   Provide expertise on the latest technology innovations around cloud, digital, mobility and social collaboration;

d.   Create and maintain design documentation leveraging the organization's existing technical documentation templates;

e.   Develop solutions to interface and integrate on-premise/Cloud, Cloud/Cloud and on-premise/ on-premise services and applications utilizing various integration tools, APIs, etc in accordance with industry best practices;

f.    Manage the DevOps practices and build the necessary capabilities in ESD;

g.   Play a leading role in supporting buy versus build assessment efforts by conducting assessments of various products, estimate custom development level of effort and advise on best solution options;

h.   Ensure AIMS solutions comply with software quality and security standards;  Manage technical risks e.g. related to technical debt, etc.;

i.    Provide second and third level user support for ERP applications, according to the instructions of Manager. Liaise with users to specify and test new or modified processes.

j.    Promote the usage of code quality and code security analyzers e.g., SonarLint and SonarQube; 

k.    Perform other duties as necessary.

 

3.      Requirements

 

Education (Essential)

First level university degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.

Education (Desirable)

Project management certification such as Prince2 or Agile.
Cloud Architect/Practitioner certification.
Java certification.

Experience (Essential)

At least six years of relevant professional experience, including all or several of the following\: requirements analysis, technical solution-design, software development, user acceptance testing, software maintenance, technical documentation, training methods and deployment;

Extensive experience working with Java, related integrations and interfaces;

At least five years of experience supporting ERP applications like PeopleSoft, Oracle eBS, MS Dynamics or others;

At least three years of experience developing highly secure hybrid integrations like on-premise file systems, content repositories and REST APIs;

Professional experience with DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo or similar;

Familiarity with Identity Management and Security technologies including custom SAML 2.0 providers.

Experience (Desirable)

Experience implementing IPaaS solutions in an ERP domain;
Experience implementing integration tools like Talend, Mulesoft or others;

Language (Essential)

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.

Language (Desirable)

Knowledge of French.

5. Information

Annual salary\:

Total annual salary consists of a net annual salary (net of taxes and before medical insurance and pension fund deductions) in US dollars and a post adjustment.  Please note that this estimate is for information only.  The post adjustment multiplier (cost of living allowance) is variable and subject to change (increase or decrease) without notice.  The figures quoted below are based on the March 2022 rate of 81.7%.

Salaries and allowances are paid in Swiss francs at the official rate of exchange of the United Nations.

Additional Information

Temporary appointments are renewable, subject to continuing needs, availability of budget and satisfactory performance with a maximum cumulative length of two years.
