Your team

Within the Network Management Directorate , the "Infrastructure" Division manages the European infrastructure deployment projects and programmes and aims at making the SES digital sky a reality. It develops, organises and provides European common services including network support services, aeronautical information services and the radio frequency function. This traineeship will take place in the Information & Cyber (NMD/INF/IAC) Unit.

You will experience:

  • Managing outsourced IT services;
  • Managing suppler contracts and their budgets;
  • Interfacing with Aeronautical Information Management Experts;
  • Working with public procurement processes;
  • Working with business plans & roadmaps.

Your role

PURPOSE OF THE TRAINEESHIP

You will be assisting in managing various IT-supplier contracts and collecting requirements from the other team members, in order to provide a smooth running EAD Service to our external clients.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will be to complete tasks such as the following:

  • Collect technical requirements and draft procurement memos;
  • Assist in drafting call-for-tender specifications;
  • Maintain budget spreadsheets and produce monthly reports in PowerPoint;
  • Assist in maintaining business plans and roadmaps;
  • Carry out other tasks in line with the main purpose of the job.

DESIRED DURATION

From 9 to 12 months.

Your profile

  • Completed university studies of 3 years in a relevant domain (e.g. Bachelor in IT Engineering, Business Administration, Law …). Or a university degree of 5 years (e.g. Master’s degree) in a relevant area would be considered an asset;
  • Basic understanding of outsourced services, their KPIs and supplier contracts;
  • Basic understanding of business plans and roadmaps;
  • Basic understanding of IT (data-centers, networks, applications, services);
  • Excellent drafting skills in English (e.g. writing memos, business plans, roadmaps);
  • Excellent MS-Word & MS-PowerPoint skills and basic MS-Excel skills;
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;
  • Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviors of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach;
  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, thorough knowledge of English is required, minimum C1 spoken & written.

  • A flat-rate allowance of €900 per month as a contribution towards living expenses will be granted.
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses to take up appointment and leave may be covered by means of a lump sum.
