Background:
Under the general supervision of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) National Security Officer (NP1) and direct supervision of the Senior Security Guard, an incumbent safeguards staff, visitors and property of the Mission.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the National Security Officer (NP1) and direct supervision of the Senior Security Guard the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
- Performs the tasks related to ensuring the security and protection of persons and property at the Office;
- Watches/monitors permanently the premises of the Office;
- Ensures the operation of security video-surveillance system, security alarm system, fire alarm system, generator, as well as office heating system;
- Receives and delivers the pouch, follows simple building maintenance problems;
- Performs additional duties when required upon approval of National Security Officer.

Necessary Qualifications:
- Completed secondary education, trainings related to the position;
- Minimum two years of military/police service or two years of related work experience as a security guard preferably in international organizations;
- Knowledge of basic security methods and practices to perform the limited intervention assignments. Knowledge of security and safety regulations, procedures and methods;
- Basic knowledge of firefighting and defensive actions;
- Ability to work with people of different nationality, religion and cultural background;
- Ability to communicate effectively and with tact;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Russian and Kyrgyz, working knowledge of English is an asset;
- Computer skills/Basic knowledge of Microsoft package is an advantage;
- Capability of handling a stressful situation;
- Ability to work irregular (extra) hours;
- Physical fitness and driver's license;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.
Remuneration Package:
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 584.5 Euro/month. Social benefits will include Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
