The selected candidate should have at least 8 years of working and technical experience with a proven track record of running imports, export and all other Customs operations beside handling general international trade tasks. Knowledge of regulations for Customs tax free operations is highly beneficial. Knowledge of the Custom rules and regulations for International Organizations is desirable but not essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The candidate will carry out several administrative tasks before the corresponding entities, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Customs, freight forwarders, ports, airports, handling companies, etc and will be working closely with the ELT construction team
- Preparation of customs clearance documentation for ESO shipments considering ESO status
- Coordination with transport and freight forwarder companies for ESO deliveries

Key Competences and Experience:
- Experience in the field of customs processes- Import, export
- Service-oriented and problem solver
- Ability to multitask and a flexible approach to learning new tasks
- Good time management to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Experience in dealing with Chilean Customs authorities and Custom Broker is desirable.
Qualifications:
- Essential educational level
- Technical degree with specialization in logistic and/or International Trade
Qualifications which would be an asset
- Data base management.
- Experience in ERP, Office tools
Language skills:
The position requires a working knowledge of English.

Duty Station:
The position will be based in the ESO Vitacura premises located in Santiago. The working schedule is Monday to Friday. Occasional travel to the sites of ESO observatories may be required.
