The incumbent will support the Security & Transport manager in the day to day functioning of transport services including office works, vehicle's maintenance, log books maintenance, vehicle fitness certification, pollution control certification, Vehicle insurance, RTA related works etc. 

SENIOR EXECUTIVE

ICRISAT seeks applications from internal candidates only for the position of Senior Executive as Transport Supervisor to ensure overall Transport management for the Institute through proper monitoring and reporting mechanism. Transport Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day to day functions including detailing the Transport Assistants, maintenance of transport vehicles, coordinating with workshop, procurement team etc. The position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters in Patancheru, Telangana.

The Transport Supervisor will report to Manager, Security & Transport Services and seek advice wherever required. To update progress on issues/matters assigned by the Manager, Security and Transport Services.

Primary Function:

·Support Manager, Security & Transport in the smooth running of the transport unit.

·Make sure all the transport vehicles are properly maintained.

·Inspecting vehicles on regular basis.

·Look after routine maintenance and arrange repairs wherever required.

·Maintaining vehicle records including log books etc.

Responsibilities:

·Transport Supervisor will coordinate with programs as per the online transport requests and generating bills.

·Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance and repair of all staff buses and other vehicles in the transport unit.

·Up to date maintenance of vehicle documents such as registration, fitness certification, insurance, vehicle logs, daily inspection reports etc. 

·Delegating work to Transport Assistants and Other tasks include ensuring adherence to safety standards 

·Leave management 

·Maintaining liaison with RTA for Institute transport related works.

Eligibility and Qualifications:

·Graduate or Intermediate pass with an experience of over 3 years as Transport supervisor / Transport assistant and having valid heavy driving license

·At least 3 Years in Transport Office Administration with a valid Heavy DL and 07 years’ experience in driving staff buses.

·Significant experience in transport office management.

·Understanding of policies and procedures governing the management of motorized assets and due compliance.

·Excellent communication skills in English and Telugu with good working knowledge of computer.

·Should be willing to work in shifts.

General:

This position is open for internal candidates only, initially for a period of 36 months (3 years) extended based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
