Mission and objectives

NCT is a developmental organisation working at the grassroots level to create and transform into a better and collaborative society for everyone to live in. We aim at eradication of poverty and improving quality of life for the poor and marginalized in rural and urban slum communities. NCT is a multi-projects organisation working with children, women, youth, disabled and in agriculture. In all our projects, our primary focus is with girl children/women to achieve gender equality NewBeginnings supports the weakest members of the society: the poor, the marginalized, children, women and the disabled. It is of no importance what religious belief or race they belong to. It is enough, “They are Human Beings” – They too have the right to life and dignity. NCT stands with them to realize it. With you, we march towards for a “Better World”. We tackle poverty and hunger by empowering unskilled and unemployed youth with employable skills training, creating employment opportunities for rural women helping them to away from starvation; with additional / permanent income resource, families ensure education of their children. We make sure, every participating family should educate their children. Empowering the next generation with skills to earn and live. We focus our energy at the rural and urban slums creating the younger generation become productive sources of India Since our inseption, NCT promotes international volunteers participation within and with our partners' projects. We began volunteers hosting and coordinating programmes in 2010 and since then, it is a long walk with many committed volunteers.

Context

We are planning to apply for a grant for education of children and women empowerment. As you know, winning a grant from a funding organization is becoming highly competitive and therefore, we would like to have two external volunteers to review our application. Online Volunteers who does not know anything about us and who is not part of the preparation of this application will be able to point out the errors we failed to identify and help us build the application better and winnable.

Task description

Each Online Volunteer is asked to review the grant application for clarity and logic in the approach and suggest ways to improve the application. The grant application is about 18 pages long. This is only a review which includes editing, proof reading and making this grant application professional. Online Volunteers are not requested to submit the application to any donors. The chosen Online Volunteers should ensure the flow of logic is maintained throughout the project application and it is reflected in the desired results and impacts as well as point out conflicting of any descriptions/ thoughts in the project application.
