Fundraising and Donor Acquisition Expert - Child Growth Monitor*

Bonn or Berlin

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of two years. There are very good prospects for a long-term role. Employment location will be Bonn or Berlin, Germany, but there is flexibility to consider other locations.

Welthungerhilfe's Child Growth Monitor  is a digital application using image data and artificial intelligence to turn mobile devices into tools for measuring the bodies of children to detect malnutrition. As Fundraising and Donor Acquisition Expert you will play an important role in scaling the solution on global level and turning the Child Growth Monitor into a Social Business.

Your responsibilities

  • Be part of the fundraising planning process of the Child Growth Monitor project to develop effective strategies and achieve defined goals
  • Write proposals and respond to request for proposals
  • Develop strategies to achieve agreed long-term organizational goals
  • Identify new potential revenue streams and develop strategies to tap into them
  • Definition and fulfillment of fundraising goals
  • Oversee the management of grant programmes and ensure the preparation of effective, high-quality proposals and reports
  • Recruit and develop new financing flows
  • Develop and manage existing relationships with donors and potential donors

Your profile

  • A university/polytechnic degree or a completed training corresponding to the position
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in raising funds for technology projects
  • Broad experience in building, maintaining and developing relationships with stakeholders, customers and donors
  • Willingness to work in a team and cope in an intercultural working environment
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
