BACKGROUND
Gavi’s 2020-2025 strategy strives to ensure that the value of vaccines is well recognised, and that immunisation remains a priority at all levels.
Gavi’s Country Support team is looking for an intern to support grant management and communication to maintain and strengthen routine immunisation and to support the roll out of C-19 vaccine in conflict and fragile countries (Sudan& Yemen).

• Exposure to our working environment through total immersion into the team;
• First-hand experience in global health and our Gavi Country Support model;
• Insight into Gavi’s support to Conflict and Fragile Countries.

• Perform review and update of the grant management process including workplans, budgets and monitoring reports and Grant closures;
• Support department in documenting lessons learned to improve information sharing and dissemination;
• General Administrative Support – Synthesising documents, updating dashboards and country metrics;
• Consolidating key policy or programmatic updates;
• COVAX communication - sharing communication packages to countries, Minuting coordination/donor calls;
• Administration support around vaccine forecast;
• Updating and streamlining folder structure in Gavi Drive, and labelling docs by date order as per guidance. Updating contacts in Salesforce;
• Tracking time of internal grant management processes to illustrate the need for simplification.
• In coordination with the relevant team at Gavi, carry out key analysis as per Fragile Country Team needs.

• Capacity and willingness to work remotely;
• Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets;
• Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications;
• Ability to convert raw data into impactful reports and insights;
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills; diplomacy and tact;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish working relationships with multiple teams;
• Experience in public health through academic work or research will be a plus;
• Graphic design and content management (website) will be a plus.
• Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets;
• Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications;

• Interpersonal and teamwork skills; diplomacy and tact;

• University degree (Master’s an asset) in health, economics, public or business administration, social sciences, or other relevant field or equivalent, related training or experience.
