Temporary Appointment: Health Specialist, P3, 10 months, Lviv, Ukriane # 120165

The Health Specialist (HIV and TB) will support the Health Manger to lead the team and be responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation and management of the HIV and TB component under the Global Fund Emergency Grant. This position will provide technical knowledge and expertise in HIV and TB programmes.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• Advanced university degree in Public Health and Nutrition, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines. 
• Five years of professional work experience at the national and international levels in HIV and/or TB planning, programming, implementation monitoring and evaluation of technical cooperation programmes.
• Experience working in Global Fund Programmes, particularly as a Principal Recipient is an asset
• Background/familiarity with Emergency.

• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
