Overview of position |
CTG staff and support humanitarian
projects in fragile and conflict-affected countries around the world, providing
a rapid and cost-effective service for development and humanitarian missions.
With past performance in 17 countries – from the Middle East, Africa, Europe,
and Asia, we have placed more than 20,000 staff all over the world since
operations began in 2006. |
Role objectives |
1. Conduct regular situation monitoring in specific areas based on requests by the programme or Zonal Office, to assess the overall humanitarian situation and document the needs of affected populations, in particular women and children health needs. Monitoring: 2. Conduct regular visits to monitor Health programme activities supported by UNICEF, and facilitate UNICEF staff programmatic visits, with a focus on: 3. Monitor IPs management of service delivery at UNICEF supported health facilities (under various projects including ARTF/ ADB and others) using the common checklists and tools.
Technical support: 4. Provide technical services to UNICEF projects primarily in hard-to-reach areas, through ensuring regular and systematic technical advice, quality assurance and technical guidance to implementing partners and counterparts, for the efficient implementation of UNICEF programmes and effective achievement of results for the benefit of Afghan children and women. 5. Identify capacity and technical gaps of implementing partners and counterparts and provide technical support to the to ensure capacity building and on job training as needed.
6. Support the implementation of Mobile Health and Nutrition Teams (MHNT) supported by UNICEF through technical support and capacity building. and monitor the service implementation and quality. and work with partners at the provincial level to improve MHNT Programme results. Support to implementation: 7. Support the implementation of Community Health Workers (CHWs) activities for management of childhood diarrhea with ORS/Zinc co-packs, and other commodities supported by UNICEF, through technical support and capacity building and monitor the service implementation and the quality of services. 8. Support implementation of community mobilization and community engagement activities, and the implementation of behaviour change interventions (BCC) for health-related projects. 9. Support EPI programme routine immunization activities including -but not limited to- service 10. delivery, cold chain system, vaccine and non-vaccine supplies, information system.
11. Support emergency preparedness and response activities implementation and monitoring. Support quality assurance: 12. Report any suspected PSEA case directly to the responsible UNICEF focal point and inform the programme specialist. 13. Report any suspected fraud case to the Zonal programme specialist or relevant UNICEF staff. Coordination: 14. Coordinate with the Regional Health Extender for the monthly workplan\monitoring plan, and share the progress and visits repots on timely manner.
