Overview of position

Role objectives

1.Identify migrants who need support inside and outside shelter; and identify migrant and Tunisian community leaders outside the shelters to engage in social mixing daily activities;

2.Contribute to the development of information materials on mental health and psychosocial support services available;

3.Conduct a comprehensive Bio psychosocial assessment for the referred or identified migrants;

4.Defining the Psychological problem/s;

5.Develop a plan of action/care plan with active participation and engagement of migrants;

6.Establish weekly schedule of psychosocial activities in collaboration with the Field Assistant and Protection Assistant for the shelters.

7.Provide appropriate basic PSS support for individual and group interventions at the level of Focused non-specialized according to MHPSS pyramid of intervention;

8.Conduct outreach and home visits and document them;

9.Refer cases to specific services to meet their need according to the jointly developed care plan for ex: (recreational activities, legal assistance in coordination with the Protection Assistant, specialized MHPSS services, vocational training in coordination with the Livelihood Assistant, and education);

10.Conduct mapping of services in Zarzis, Tataouine and neighboring regions area of operations to ensure efficient referrals Update the Map on a quarterly basis minimum;

11.Follow up the implementation of the care plan including referrals to other services till closure;

12.Evaluate the outcomes of the care plan and amended accordingly;

13.Document the case management activities as per the policies set by the organization;

14.Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of the migrants including the records;

15.Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner and as requested;

16.Prepare, conduct and/or support psycho-education for groups and individuals for the migrant and her/his family members as needed;

17.Provide technical support to colleagues (for ex: field and protection assistants) in designing and implementing of structured PSS activities.

18.Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the MHPSS focal point in Tunis and travel as required.
