Overview of position
Role objectives
  1. Conceptualise, plan, prepare, and implementproject activitiesthat incorporate livelihoods methodologies and in coordination with relevant field and sub-office teams

  1. Plan, develop, organise and deliver meaningful capacity building activities through a skills assessment for migrants aimed to restore resilience and promote self-reliance and accountability.

  1. Take a leadership role in and coordinate the day-to-day implementation of integration projects in designated locations, in coordination with the Sub-Office and Tunis.

  1. Develop overall strategies and individual plans on early integration for migrants upon registration in emergency shelters that includes short, medium and exit strategies with a focus on economic empowerment and self-reliance including in case of return and re-integration.

  1. Conduct a mapping exercise of relevant stakeholders and services in the catchment area of operations accessible to migrants to ensure efficient referrals and potential partnerships, with the map being updated on a quarterly basis at minimum.

  1. Perform individual or group coaching sessions on self-esteem and soft skills fostering the development of individual professional and career plans.

  1. Plan and implement vocational training activities that support early integration based on identified skills gaps and technical skills training such as IT, language skills and women leadership training.

  1. Promote and contribute to the integration and mainstreaming of gender, protection, human rights and other pertinent cross-cutting issues into programme implementation.

  1. Provide inputs concerning the project activities to the monthly and interim reports. 

  1. Identify issues and report them to the supervisor in a timely manner with recommendations for resolution. 

  1. Assist the organization and participation in meetings with key local stakeholders (local Government institutions, CSOs, etc.) and the private sector, inter alia taking minutes of the meetings, brief notes/notes for the file. 

  1. Identify needs and prepare a workshop work plan including logistics and budget that would meet needs of migrants to facilitate integration.

  1. Research, design, and develop potential pathway plans for migrants in Tunisia to assist possible avenues for livelihood sustainability in Tunisia, with a particular focus on Southern Tunisia.

  1. Ensure discretion and confidentiality regarding the personal data of beneficiaries, in line with Protection Principles. 

  1. Maintain the necessary administrative and financial documents and relevant documents for reporting. 

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with key institutional and civil society actors and stakeholders and encourage partnerships to help drive and fund community engagement activities.

  1. Undertake any duty travel as required.

  1. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager.
