CTG recruits, deploys and manages the right people with the right skills to implement humanitarian and development projects, from cleaners to obstetricians, and mechanics to infection specialists, we’re skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Key to successful project delivery is the ability to mobilise at speed; CTG can source and deploy anyone, anywhere, in less than 2 weeks and have done so in 48 hours on a number of occasions.

Through our efficient and agile HR, logistical and operational services, CTG saves multilateral organisations time and money. We handle all our clients’ HR related issues, so they are free to focus on their core services.

Role objectives
  • Attend a full course of CLTS training at the central or/and provincial level

  • Facilitate sessions with communities in realizing the negative hygienic and sanitary behaviors replaced with positive ones

  • Walk throughout the village and interact with all villagers facilitating a rapid change in the attitude of villagers

  • Vigorous follow Directly implement CLTS methodology using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) tools with the villagers of target communities

  • Vigorous follow up from the communities they are triggered

  • Effective use of IEC materials in the target villages, its distribution to the FHAGs and CHWs and its follow up

  • Conduct hygiene education sessions for the villagers inside the village or at the district or provincial level

  • Conduct community hygiene awareness and sanitary campaigns

  • Provide technical advice to the villagers in building sanitary latrine

  • Record day to day progress made by villagers in their village and reporting to his/her supervisor

Further information

Required qualifications and experience:

  • The CLTS Facilitator should be at least a high school graduate

  • Minimum of two years of experience working with communities

  • Experience in hygiene and sanitation is preferred

  • Experience in working with community and community mobilization will be given the priority

  • Familiarity with cultures of different Afghan communities

  • Very good interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to supervise personnel

  • Ability to speak in big gatherings and interact very smoothly and politely

  • The candidate should be very polite and patient

  • Skills to convince others

  • Must be able to communicate well in local languages
