Expected duration

¿ The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
¿ Remuneration for this consultancy will be equivalent to 1,300.00 USD and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
¿ The incumbent can be in any UNRWA field of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).

Duties and Responsibilities

¿ Ensures Governance of Project/Program status reporting for data completeness and data quality
¿ Supports Project Managers with project-related documentation (e.g. meeting minutes, PIDs, and so forth) in project management tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA, Project Server) as applicable
¿ Standardization of templates for project documentation
¿ Assists with audit-related controls (ensuring all projects adhere to PM-controls in place)
¿ Monitors/reports on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and governance related to UNICC’s portfolio
¿ The candidate can be pulled into projects with limited responsibilities (shadowing what a senior does, be OICs)
¿ Monitors PMO processes, data quality, Project Controls with the goal for raising efficiency
¿ Assist with the analysis of data (e.g., Burn rate review periodically, Proactive review of Lessons Learned log)
¿ Assists with coordination of RFP responses
¿ Contributes to the continuous development of PMO process and tools
¿ Undertakes any other administrative tasks as specified by the Project Management Team.
¿ Perform other duties as may be required.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications:
¿ A university degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;

Experience:
¿ Experience 2 years of experience in project administration, project control, project management office, procurement, or similar, in which two years of working in a fast-paced IT environment.
¿ Knowledge of IT projects and Services
¿ Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
¿ Professional background, ideally with IT delivery within PMO, Managed Services, IT outsourcing industry, Consultancy Experience.
¿ Knowledge or experience with RFPs, Procurement requests are preferred.
¿ Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
¿ Knowledge of ITIL principles.
¿ Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
¿ Knowledge of project management, flowcharts, project documentation, etc.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

¿ PRINCE2 Foundation/other Project Management Methodology/Framework and knowledge of best practices in project management and service delivery are desirable.

Additional Information

UNRWA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC) to enhance livelihood and human development opportunities for Palestine refugees in Gaza. Through this new collaboration, UNRWA becomes a provider of Information Management, Technology services, and capacity augmentation to the UNICC technical team on a cost-recovery basis through IMTD/IT Service Center (ITSC) in HQ-Gaza. United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC) is a UN agency that provides IT services to other UN agencies on a cost-recovery basis.

UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a Project Support Administrator who provides administrative support with project management services. The Project Support Admin is responsible for supporting and assisting Project managers with the efficient execution of projects. The candidate will also have to complete office administrative tasks under a team of Project Managers.

The consultant will report administratively to the Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarters Gaza and report technically to United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC).
