Technical Focus

To carry out a comparative and propositional study on the legal framework related to family farming and aquaculture and fishing, in order to provide technical support to SAF/MAPA when making decisions on actions that make it possible to qualify and strengthen these activities within the scope of the Secretariat's activities, based on the institutional legal framework.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Survey and critically analyze the legislation surrounding family farming, aquaculture and fishing.
• Carry out, based on the legislation, a comparative analysis of family farming, aquaculture and fishing activities.
• Map and establish a correlation between the public policies available through MAPA for the segments under study.
• Carry out a diagnosis on family farming using the agricultural and livestock censuses (2006 and 2017) as a parameter.
• Draw a prospective scenario for possible adjustments to the legislation and/or existing public policies (MAPA).
• Hold meetings with the project coordination to level out the consultancy's lines of action.


CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:

Minimum Requirements

• University Degree in Applied Social Sciences.
• Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil

Technical/Functional Skill

• Minimum proven experience of 8 (eight) years in legislation analysis, sustainable development, Family Farming and/or aquaculture and fishing.
• Desirable experience in Legislation on Family Farming, elaboration of diagnoses in the area of public management and proposition of technical-legal instruments.
