Overview of position
  • CTG is looking to submit an experienced Financial / Accounting Assistant for a bid in Bamako, Mali.

  • This TOR is not a live requirement however is being advertised for the sole purposes of attracting suitable candidates who are happy for CTG to include their CV's in a bid.

  • Should you be selected for this role, you will be based in Bamako, Mali.

  • Candidates who are fluent in English & French will be given 1st preference.

Role objectives

          Based full time at the project site, the Financial Assistant / Accountant provides support to the contractor in all PSAT financial matters. With tasks that include the following:

          • Supporting management of local costs & contracts.

          • Recording & monitoring all expenditures.

          • Supporting management of contracts & contribution agreements.

          • Providing support to the FSSP Coordinator for project audit, analysis & oversight of the DLI projects.

          • In collaboration with the FSSP Coordinator, performing occasional financial analyses of the project, noting shortfalls, overruns & proposing the necessary corrections.

          • Analyzing & verifying all accounts & all requests for payment, as well as supporting documentation.

          • Supporting the FSSP Coordinator in the production of financial reports.

          • Providing other related services, as required.

          • Support the FSSP Coordinator in the management & implementation of the LDI projects.

            Project reporting

            This role reports to the line manager.

            Key competencies
            • Highest level of education completed in a relevant discipline in a recognized institution (i.e. higher than bachelor).

            • Must be fluent in English & French.

            Team management

            Team management experience is reqiured for this role.
