Under the overall guidance of the Resident Representative and direct supervision of the Deputy Resident Representative, the Procurement Support Officer will be responsible for the administration of the Procurement for the different Projects and the effective delivery of procurement services to obtain the best value for money. The Procurement Support Officer will manages the procurement and provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex issues related to procurement. The Project Procurement Specialist promotes a collaborative, client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach in the Unit.
This is a national Roster for Kuwait CO. will include a list of pre-vetted, highly qualified candidates with strong expertise in the Procurement (priority for Kuwaitis) intended to fast-track recruitment processes as positions become available. After a rigorous selection process, successful candidates will be placed in the Roster. Being selected for the Roster does not guarantee a placement. Candidates placed on the Roster will be reviewed when a relevant position becomes available and if found suitable will go through simplified selection and/or review process.
Under the overall guidance of the Resident Representative and direct supervision of the Deputy Resident Representative, the ProcurementSupport Officer will be responsible for the following functions:
- Ensures elaboration and implementation of operational strategies for the projects;
- Ensures efficient management of Procurement processes;
- Ensures elaboration, introduction and implementation of sourcing strategy and e-Procurement tools;
- Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO.

- 2 years of of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and establishing inter-relationships among international organization and national governments. An additional 2 years are required for bachelor’s degree holders.
- Proven experience, working in close partnership with and establishing strong relationships with a broad base of stakeholder, with a special emphasis on Government partners.
- Previous experience working with UNDP/UN or International NGOs would be an asset.
- Proven ability to use computers and office software packages, and experience in handling web-based management systems.
