We are looking for individuals who are younger than 32 years of age, who demonstrate a passion for international development, graduate level education, relevant professional experience and the potential to grow into leadership roles across the World Bank Group. 

 

YPP Selection Criteria

  • Born on or after October 1, 1990
  • Relevant Master’s by September 2022 OR PhD by September 2023
  • 3+ years of relevant experience OR continued study at the doctoral level
  • Fluency in English

 

Description

Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice works to help national and sub-national clients build inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities, villages and communities.

We are seeking Land and Geospatial specialists with the following qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of a master’s level degree with academic background in Land economics; Surveying; Mapping and geospatial technologies; Agricultural economics; Land law.  Knowledge of different property rights registration systems in both civil law and common law jurisdictions would also be required.
  • Technical Skills and Strong Experience in: 
    • Land policy
    • Management of public land
    • Land cadasters and registration
    • Mapping and geospatial technologies
    • Property valuation and taxation
    • Land leasing
    • Land conversion 
    • Land law and practice including a good understanding of land rights (indigenous populations, communal tenure, informal and formal arrangements), land acquisition and dispute resolution mechanisms.
