Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Secretary of the Commission and Chief of External Relations and Outreach at ESCWA, the Communications Assistant (Digital Designer) is required to perform the below functions in close coordination with ESCWA Communication staff:
o Produce animated videos
o Work with the communication team to come up with creative concepts and translate them into visuals;
o Edit photos in line with the visual identity of ESCWA and the UN branding guidelines;
o Design and animate motion graphics of videos;
o Edit multimedia video projects with Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects;
o Create still visuals with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and other contents for social media;
o Assist in the post-production of information spots, wrap-up videos, when required;
o Assist the photographer in the production and post-production of visual assets;
o Assist in conducting interviews and short video messages with senior officials of ESCWA and experts, when required;
o Work with the Public Information Assistants on other digital design-related work;
o Perform other duties as required.
Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in art communication, digital design, graphic design, or other related field is required.
Experience: Six years of experience in digital and motion graphics design, especially in documentary areas and story-telling is required; experience in an international setting is desirable.
Language: Fluency in Arabic and English are required; fluency in French is desirable.
