THE ROLE
The IT Business Systems Analyst will report to the Head of Business Partnering & Delivery in the Knowledge Management and Technology (KMTS) organisation and have a deep understanding of Gavi’\s business processes and application of these processes in the implemented technology solutions. The Business Systems Analyst position covers the scope of IT/systems processes, applications, and platforms within the Secretariat, with immediate focus on Salesforce, but not limited to. The other platforms used are SAP S/4 HANA, Salesforce; Microsoft Office365 and External and Internal Websites. (all-rounder profile and able to roll up the sleeves and hands on deliver, quick to get up to speed on any of these platforms and applications).

Key functions and deliverables:
•    Work with business partners and business teams to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs, as part of the project life cycle (all related to the applications and platforms mentioned above, or new applications to be introduced in the landscape); understand the customer journey and define user requirements;
•    Engage with business partners and business teams to influence project decisions; assess the risks of various solutions and prioritise competing business demands; 
•    Define end-to-end solution design to support business process and optimisation;
•    Promote architectural consistency and usability standards; drive solution implementation in support of the business processes, define and execute test cases;
•    Identify opportunities for business-led delivery and continuously coach business users to make use of technology and information. 
 
•    Business systems analysis with deep understanding of the Gavi business model and processes (quickly get up to speed and gain in depth knowledge of Gavi specific model and processes) coupled with an intimate knowledge of the solutions and systems enabling these processes;
•    Understand business needs to define and gain alignment between business needs and technical capabilities;
•    Gather detailed business requirements and define functional requirements/scope during discovery and definition;
•    Quantify resource requirements, measure and communicate proposed project benefits, in support of the development of business cases requiring IT-based solutions;
•    Maintain up-to-date awareness of platform and application roadmaps/trends to leverage new/upgraded systems and technologies, by proactively monitoring industry, functional, and technology trends;
•    Work with experts to create prototypes and design innovative solutions;
•    Developing and deploying standard IT solutions across Gavi; ensuring ‘fit for purpose’ and 'best in class' processes are implemented.

•    5+ years of work experience and exposure to full life cycle of systems (Salesforce) and related process implementation;
•    Demonstrated experience in business systems analysis and design with excellent business and technical acumen;
•    Demonstrated ability to adapt to complex business environments and situations, able to manage multiple priorities and projects, without affecting the deadlines and overall delivery;
•    Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations, difficult decision making and resolve conflicts;
•    Demonstrated knowledge of both traditional Waterfall and Agile/Lean methodologies, as well of product management concepts;
•    Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
 
•    Platform and Application Expertise —Knowledge and expertise in Salesforce primarily and one of the other main platforms SAP S/4, Sage People, Microsoft Office365, Drupal;
•    Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria;
•    Ability to distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements;
•    Excellent business acumen and ability to translate new solutions and technology into business value;
•    Ability to identify unarticulated business needs and coordinate between stakeholder groups to address them;
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources;
•    Ability to be creative in new ways of achieving the end result, potentially with a standard feature or configuration that still meets the business need;
•    Understanding of contemporary requirements gathering practices and the ability to apply them in practice, familiarity with requirements engineering practices and resources;
•    Risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills;
•    Ability to lead requirements elicitation workshops, excellent communication and presentation skills;
•    Accountability to take on the responsibility, both personally and as part of the team, for delivering and improving the platform and application;
•    Ability to be flexible, shifting quickly to new priorities and accepting failure along with success to come up with solutions faster;
•    Ability to be proactive and take action through self-organised ambition to reach the final business outcome; 
•    Ability to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation.
 
•    Fluent English is required;
•     French is an asset.
 
•    Bachelor's degree business, computer science, management information systems, or related field.
