BACKGROUND 

The Resource Mobilisation and Private Sector Partnerships Department supports Gavi by ensuring sustainable donor financing and resource innovation. This includes (i) securing donor pledges and deepening relationships with existing donors while helping to elevate Gavi and immunisation on global agendas, (ii) diversifying Gavi’s financing base to include new and emerging donors and the private sector (iii) bringing to bear the innovation and resources of the private sector through new and expanded partnerships, innovative financing, and other initiatives; and (iv) leading key fundraising and reporting exercises.  

KEY RESULTS EXPECTED    
•    Effective support to the Senior Advisor and Managing Director office.
•    Support the Managing Director Office to coordinate the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN) Evaluation of Gavi, gather inputs from Gavi Secretariat Departments and liaise with the MOPAN Secretariat. 
•    Support the Office in the preparation of internal and external meetings (briefs, summaries, presentations, run of shows, logistics) that the Managing Director attends. 
•    Support the Office to manage relationships with partners (sovereign donors and private sector).
•    Contribute to and manage the development of position papers, concept notes, blog posts, and pitch decks;
•    Support outreach to partners.

Note: The essential functions listed in this section are not exhaustive of the job responsibilities; other duties may be assigned dependent on department needs.
 
•    Demonstrable experience and/or interest in public-private partnerships in health/development; 
•    Global understanding of key transformations impacting today’s business, industry and political environment; as well as good overview of development aid work and in particularly in global public health;
•    A solid understanding of one of the COVID-19 context and response. 
•    Excellent analytical and synthesising capabilities; 
•    Excellent communication skills and an outstanding commend of written and spoken English; 
•    Experience of managing multiple projects within a fast-moving environment;
•    Experience of working in a low-income country setting and working in a multi-cultural context;
•    Excellent team player and results driven.
•    Fluency in English;
•    French is desirable.
•    Master’s degree or equivalent in business or public administration, development economics, global health, international relations or finance;
•    Training in project management is desirable.
•    Gavi Secretariat.
