SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year. To support us with this important responsibility the International Office CEE/CIS/ME is looking for a committed and experienced:

HROD Development Advisor for the region CEE/CIS/ME (f/m)

Location: CEE/CIS/ME

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of global and regional HROD policies, systems and processes with focus on adaptation to national context
  • Independently managing all elements of the recruitment lifecycle and working closely with the assigned functional areas including demand planning, job design and job advertisement, application management, interview process, reference taking and secure a smooth onboarding of new employees
  • Coordinate, drive, refresh, update and monitor onboarding reference documents and processes in CEE/CIS/ME region for newly employed co-workers
  • Develop and implement a robust onboarding framework for the IOR and MAs, including the onboarding for NDs and to ensure full integration of digital tools
  • Provide expertise and build capacity of assigned member associations in rolling out federation HROD strategic goals and HR standards along the HR cycle
  • Accompany and support member associations in OD processes and change management
  • Monitor quality and compliance with organisational HROD standards carried out by Member Associations CEE/CIS/ME through evaluation and audits
  • Foster exchange and knowledge sharing in the HROD area within the regional HR network

Requirements

  • University degree in HR/Organisation Development, Business Administration or related studies  
  • A minimum of 7 years’ work experience in the area of HROD management and consultancy including sound legal/labour law knowledge preferably in an international and/or matrix environment
  • Competent in people development and facilitation of meetings and trainings
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (Russian language will be an asset)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills and intercultural competence
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and process-oriented working skills
  • Project management skills will be an asset
  • Proficiency in all MS office applications
  • Readiness to travel internationally within the CEE/CIS/ME region
