The process of BiH's accession to the European Union is one of the main drivers of reforms in the field of environment, which is largely related to the harmonization of domestic legislation with the EU acquis. In addition to the adopted legislation, implementing regulations, rules and procedures, and the ratification of many international agreements, many strategic documents have been drafted, which are the basis of BiH's continuous work on reforms in the environmental sector.
The information system represents the way of processing information with the aim of obtaining the knowledge necessary for further action. The information system involves interconnected and functionally linked processes of collecting, transfer, processing, using and storing data. The need to introduce an information system is reflected in the ability to cover all information flows in business system management, in accordance with the nature and tasks performed in the system. An information system is expected to provide a basis for performing different tasks and requirements that participants place in the system. This demonstrates the need for clearly defined and efficient information technologies necessary for building and functioning of the information system.
Having in mind that both funds, Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of Republika Srpska (Fund) and Fund for Environmental Protection of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Fund) are establishing Training Centers (TC), UNDP BiH tends to support both Funds.
Experts will conduct his/her activities in cooperation with representatives of the respective Fund and under the supervision of the UNDP Project Manager. Expert should analyse all technical and support information on climate change and existing state of hardware, system, application and special software based on the inputs from Fund and identify all technical requirements for safe and effective functioning of TC.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the existing state of hardware, system, applications and network in Fund
- Creation of safe and secured functioning of Environmental Information System
- Adding new computers to the LAN network and network settings of user computers
- Elimination of problems in the functioning of the LAN network
- Hardware and software installation of network printers
- Installation and maintenance of licensed software with an emphasis on Windows 7/10 and MS Office applications
- Printer maintenance (toner replacement) and troubleshooting (connectivity, interruptions etc.)
- Support to employees in the use of computer equipment and software applications, per request

Required Skills and Experience
Academic Qualifications/Education:
- BSc Degree in Information Technology / Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- At least 7 (seven) years of relevant professional experience;
- Proven experience in implementation and/or maintenance of IT systems;
- Proven experience in proposals, projecting and implementation of IT networks;
- Experience in conducting trainings;
- Previous experience with UNDP would be considered as an advantage.
Languages Requirements:
- Knowledge of Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English is a must.

Individual will be evaluated based on the following methodology:
Cumulative analysis
When using this weighted scoring method, the award of the contract should be made to the candidate whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:
a) responsive/compliant/acceptable, and
b) Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation.
