About the job

Kvinna till Kvinna implements long-term programmes for women’s rights in collaboration with women’s rights organisations. The advisor contributes to these programmes with her specific expertise. The main tasks are:

  • To along with dedicated country-teams, develop and assure results frameworks and tools that suits the context and specificities of the programme and partner organisations.
  • To communicate and build internal and partner capacity on Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL)
  • Develop Kvinna till Kvinna methods and communication on PMEL in programming internally and to donors.
  • Develop and facilitate, in collaboration with others, exchanges between teams and partners on PMEL.
  • Utilise the new digital learning platform Learnifier.
  • Baseline and assess PMEL needs and suggest ways forward.
  • Contribute – in collaboration with the advisor for organisational MEL support – to the organisational PMEL processes and systems.
  • Contribute to organisational reporting to donors and the board, as well as the organisational annual report.

You will become a part of the Method and Development unit team with 10 people. You will also work closely with other advisors, including another in-house PMEL advisor who works on organisational PMEL along with the the Deputy Secretary General and the Senior Management Team. You will report to the Head of Method and Development.

About you

You are self-driven, structured, and proactive. You like systems development and are used to working with qualitative and quantitative data in digital systems and MS Office package. You enjoy teamwork, have a genuine interest in communication and use a coaching style of advising.

You need to at least have

  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience of which at least one from PMEL within international development cooperation.
  • Academic degree in relevant fields, such as political and social science, statistics, international relations, development studies, peace- and conflict studies, gender studies, human rights or law;
  • Experience from developing, updating, and communicating PMEL systems and methods relevant for international development programmes.
  • Experience from training, facilitation, and/or coaching.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Solid computer skills and experience, especially from the Office programmes.

Merits

  • Knowledge of Swedish development cooperation, civil society support, and/or support to women’s rights organisations;
  • Experience from international development work in conflict affected countries.
  • Experience from working in an international organisation
  • Swedish language profficiency 

Terms & conditions and what we offer

You will join a team of 150+ dedicated Kvinna till Kvinna colleagues who fight for women’s rights in more than 20 countries affected by conflict.

This position is based in our head office in Stockholm. Here, about sixty of us work with programme management, communication, fundraising and advocacy and support to the rest of the organisation. Through regular digital meetings, we stay in touch with our colleagues abroad.

This is a full-time position, with a probationary period of 6 months. Starting date as soon as possible. The role include occasional international travel.

Our working week is 37.5 hours; these working hours are flexible and goal oriented. We also apply a hybrid working model. We are covered by the collective agreement and offer occupational pension and insurances accordingly

Each year, you are entitled to 32 days of annual leave. We offer an annual wellness allowance.
