SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year. To support us with this important responsibility the International Office CEE/CIS/ME is looking for a committed and experienced:

 

Member Support Advisor CEE /CIS ME (f/m)

Location: Amman / Jordan

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning of the annual cycle for interaction between the CVI Representative and the Member Associations in Middle East countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria )
  • Ensure the link between the Member Associations planning and budgeting process
  • Support the CVI Representative in decision making by preparing management reports and summaries and overview on key performance indicators and statistics
  • Facilitate and support the exchange between CVI Representative and functions and follow up on their agreements
  • Ensure effective flow of information between Member Associations, Promoting & Supporting Associations and General Secretariat
  • Provide administrative support to CVI Representative
  • Take over a consultancy role in regional/global projects

Requirements:

  • University degree in international relations, organisational development or relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience within an international organisation
  • Well-organised, analytical
  • Strong interpersonal awareness, excellent communications skills in international setting
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player, able to work proactively and to build a strong personal network
  • Desirable experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Availability to travel
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
