THE ROLE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

 

WFP is looking to build, implement, and continuously improve a Young Talent Pipeline to support our growing needs, within 3 primary focus areas: University Internship Program, College Graduate Program and University Partnerships. It will involve partnering with universities or other institutions to attract the best candidates with a focus on attracting female and individuals from Developing Countries.  This role will support the Senior Consultant in defining and implementing the centralized process and roadmap.

 

The role sits within our Talent Acquisition unit which focuses on external recruitments, young talent and FIT Pool (WFP’s roster).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

 

  • Support the work plan to enable WFP to identify, develop and strengthen quality partnerships in support of our WFP strategic objectives
  • Build relationships with stakeholders in Headquarters, Regional Bureaus and Country Offices to support the project
  • Use data to present well-researched information on top global universities with degrees relevant to WFP
  • Work in collaboration with the team on the communication to promote the initiative
  • Organize sourcing and attraction events with universities, providing guidance as needed to carry out a customized strategy for individual universities
  • Continuously analyze the talent inflow for quality and diversity of applicants and propose and implement corrective actions to improve.
  • Stay abreast of industry knowledge, campuses, and best practices for recruiting
  • Other tasks as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 0-3 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition or project management
  • Passion for talent attraction
  • Communicate effectively through correspondence and presentations
  • Enjoy interacting with different stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for this role
  • Ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, processes and tools 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; receptive to receiving/giving feedback  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related field of study
  • Fluency (level C) in English language. 
  • Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (a WFP working language)

This is a Consultant contract. WFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
