The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office was established on December 14, 1950 by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The Agency is mandated to direct and coordinate actions to protect people in refugee status and solve refugee problems. Its main purpose is to safeguard the rights and welfare of refugees. UNHCR is almost entirely funded by voluntary contributions from governments and private donors. Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Mexico is a priority market for PSP Americas, with the remit to increase awareness of UNHCR and raise funds from the private sector (individuals, corporates, foundations) in the country. The individual giving acquisition strategy has grown in the last years and it is expected to continue with this trend. This increase needs an infrastructure support to maintain the integrity and security of donor data and provide basic donor services.

A fundraising database assistant will support the Senior Data Management Associate to better integrate the required platforms, support the back-end process and provide basic donor collection services. With the supervision and guidance of the Data Management Associate, the assistant will support regular maintenance to the database, support with donor payments, backing data integrity, and mainly will provide support for the database migration and integration projects with SalesForce and other platforms.

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

To ensure that we are able to provide the necessary back-end/infrastructure support to our donor data management and integrity processes, the Database Assistant will support on the day to-
day service of the salesforce migration and with our data/information management systems, seeking the following scope:
-Support on Salesforce, iRazer integrations and implementation projects
-Follow up on PCI requirements for certification
-Supports with Donor collection by bank and different payment gateways
-Monthly & historic collection reports
-Supports with chargebacks answers to banks and different payment gateways as needed
-Support with Complete income documentation for Bank reconciliation
-Updated Donor Database information
-Donor Database salesforce maintenance and cleaning
-Be up to date with UNHCR statistics and strategies.
-Support with required database certifications
-Unicorn Migration Support.

3. Monitoring and Progress Controls

-Direct report to Data Manager Associate
-Weekly report update
-Weekly progress in Salesforce integration

4. Qualifications and Experience
(List the required education, work experience, expertise and competencies of the individual contractor. The listed education and experience should correspond with the level at which the contract is offered.)

-Completion of Secondary Education (Highschool diploma)
-Certification/training in database management, information system management, computer science or other related discipline is desirable
-A University degree is preferred.
-Fluent in English & Spanish
-Minimum 1 years of experience in database management, in a donor/client-based environment
-Previous experience on data entry with the UN or NGOs in Mexico is an asset.
-One year experience with Saleforce CRM.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

a. Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
-Completion of Secondary Education (Highschool diploma)
-Certification/training in database management, information system management, computer science or other related discipline is desirable

b. Work Experience

-Minimum 1 year of experience in database management, in a donor/client-based environment
-Minimum 1 year of experience in database management, in a donor/client-based environment
-Previous experience on data entry with the UN or NGOs in Mexico is an asset.
