The Technical Manager-ECD will be responsible for overall technical support to develop curriculum for coordinated model through prototyping and piloting phase; capacity building of frontline staffs and multi-stakeholders; training module, material, and content development/contextualization; quality assurance for evidence based coordinated ECD intervention and sector ECD forums and working groups. This position is directly reportable to Sr. Manager -ECD and will get technical assistance from Education Coordinator.

Highlights of Key Responsibilities

Program Designing and Prototyping:

  • Provide Technical support to develop coordinated ECD model for prototyping and piloting.
  • Conduct related literature review for developing coordinated ECD model.
  • Provide technical support for the development of proposal including the narrative, work plan, advocacy plan, research plan and budget.
  • Conduct participatory action research with children, caregivers, and service providers to inform strategies for prototyping and piloting.
  • Identify key priorities, opportunities and challenges for program monitoring and evaluation through data collection and analysis.
  • Provided support to M & E team for monitoring tools, quality checking and feedback mechanism development for program effectiveness.

Material Development and Capacity building:

  • Develop and finalize integrated ECD curriculum; through field test and consultation with different sectors (Health, Nutrition).
  • Contextualize/develop learning and supplementary materials for ECD programming.
  • Lead development of training module; counselor handbook; program implementation guideline (PIG) and validation
  • Plan and execute ongoing professional development for frontline staffs (i.e training; coaching; mentoring)

External Engagement:

  • Actively participate/ represent IRC in external coordination forums i.e. ECD working group, Sector coordination meeting, Technical Taskforce Team meeting, on regular basis to promote effective and efficient information sharing and provide input where necessary.
  • Provide technical support to Sesame Workshop (SW) and IRC -Technical unit for developing ECD related materials.
