Since 2007, IRC has worked with refugees and other vulnerable populations in Jordan focusing on urban and camp interventions addressing health, protection, economic development, and early childhood development for Syrian refugees and host communities. IRC through its health program has been providing essential Primary and Reproductive Health (RH) services to Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities in Jordan.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

     The Dermatologist – part-time will be based in the IRC Zaatari camp facility. The position will be mainly responsible for providing quality clinical care and provides specialized medical care for dermatological conditions, conducting screenings, and skin evaluations, and analyzing the patient’s medical history to determine appropriate treatments. Dermatologists also oversee how effective the treatments are and refer patients to different specialists if needed.

 

Dermatologist Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients’ skin diseases, conditions, and ailments to determine the appropriate treatment
  •  Prescribing medication and creating treatment plans, referring patients for surgery where necessary
  • Monitoring patient progress
  • Assessing and updating patients’ medical history, including keeping a record of patients’ symptoms
  • Informing and educating patients on available treatments and preventative skincare
  • Referring patients to specialists in other fields
  • Keeping up to date with new medical procedures, topics, and scientific studies by attending seminars, conferences, and training programs
  • Adhering to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
  • meeting targets set by the IRC and international criteria for specific treatments


Working Environment:

The position is based in the Zaatari camp.
