Advocacy and Outreach in Romania
Mission and objectives
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.
UN Volunteers Programme expands its operations in Europe to help their response to the war in Ukraine. New operations require better visibility among potential partners, communities, and media in the given country. UN Volunteers communications team needs help to establish those partnerships and will lead the Online Volunteer through the main steps.
Online Volunteer will identify contacts or organizations, communities and media that may be interested to collaborate with the UN Volunteers programme in Romania, and will reach out to them by cell phone/skype for further organizational steps (meetings, webinars, publications). Basically, Online Volunteer will be bridging the regional office's UNV staff and selected organizations, media, and other outlets localized in the country. It also will include writing, messaging, and calling communities and groups that exist on social media. Online Volunteers who are located in Romania are strongly encouraged to apply because it is expected to conduct phone calls during the identified partners and media contacts.
