Do you enjoy helping your colleagues from all over the world thrive at work? Love contributing to more engaged and future-proof organizations by managing a successful HR cycle and organizing work smarter? And do you really want to make a positive impact? If so, the Global Center on Adaptation is looking for you!

About us

The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) works as a solutions broker to accelerate action and support for climate adaptation solutions. We do this in partnership with the public and private sector, locally and internationally, through (I) programs; (II) advocacy and agenda-setting; and (III) research.

Adapting to climate change provides a “win-win” for livelihoods, food security, water supply, health, security, and economic growth. The work of GCA facilitates solutions such as smarter investments, new technologies, and better planning to become more resilient to climate related threats.

GCA is a rapidly growing organization with offices in Abidjan, Beijing, Dhaka, Groningen, and Rotterdam. The HR team (1 HR Manager, 1 HR Officer) is located in Rotterdam.

About you

GCA has grown at an enormous rate over the last years, and its success in doing so in the years to come heavily depends on your ability to contribute to a steady foundation and sustainable growth. You’re the first point of contact for our managers on employment conditions and coach them in developing, engaging, and empowering their teams. You monitor and animate the HR cycle , supporting where needed and acting as a change agent in implementing and adopting new tools, policies and processes that put our employees first. Finally, you enjoy critically assessing the way we work to contribute to the scalability of the (HR) organization towards further growth in the years to come.
