Org. Setting and Reporting

The incumbent of this post is responsible to the School Principal and will teach the required subject.

Responsibilities

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:

•Teaches all or selected subjects in the approved curriculum to a class in the cycle of basic education including:

(i)Preparing daily work plan and a term plan to cover the school year;

(ii)Preparing and correcting exercises, examinations and assignments; preparing and functionally using AV media in his/her teaching.

(iii)Maintaining discipline and order in the classroom and in the school compound;

(iv)Advising parents regarding progress and development, or lack thereof, of children in the class;


•Teaches subjects other than his/her own specialization when required by the prescribed workload;

•Participates in the school co-curricular activities as and when required;

•Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

General Information:

•This vacancy notice is open to internal and external candidates. Only candidates residing in Jordan, and within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible to apply. The Agency will not assume responsibility or accountability to support or facilitate the issuance of work permit in Jordan, and without a valid work permit, the appointment may be rescinded.

•Since the Vacancy is an Area Staff post, the Agency will not provide coverage for relocation costs.
