Administrative Assistant, Thailand Programme

BACKGROUND
This is a local recruitment. Only Thai nationals, individuals with residence status or the appropriate employment visa for Thailand are eligible to apply. The remuneration and benefits package for this position is established with reference to the local labour market and in line with the IUCN conditions of service for Thailand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Assistant, Thailand Programme is responsible for assisting the Head of Office to ensure the effective and efficient operations of IUCN’s Thailand Programme Administration. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant, Thailand Programme includes assisting the IUCN TH-Head of Office, and project staff with the financial and administrative tasks, technical supports, oversight and quality control, and representational functions, as described below.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

- In consultation with the Head of Office, arrange procurement for Thailand Programme in accordance with IUCN policies and procedures;
- Handle administrative and logistical arrangements for workshops, forums and other meetings of the Thailand programme project;
- Coordinate with IUCN Administration on flight and accommodation reservation for Thailand Programme officers and workshop participants;
- Arrange payment requests and reimbursement for workshops, events, and training sessions organized by the projects;
- Ensure the accuracy and punctuality of payments and relevant payment documents of all project activities;
- Advise and assist Thailand programme and non-IUCN participants in the preparation of allowances and travel claims.
- Coordinate with Thailand National Committee members on meeting arrangement and other related tasks;
- Translate and interpret between Thai and English and vice versa as required.

- Carry out any other duties you may be called upon to perform from time to time by the line manager.
