Role

Mekom Solutions is looking for a dynamic, proactive and technology-enthusiast individual to join its growing team as a Software Project Manager for its HMIS/EMR implementation projects. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and Mekom’s management. He or she will ensure that deliverables fall within the applicable scope, negotiated budget and required velocity; while at the same time aligning with and benefiting the company’s core products. In a nutshell:

  • Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and scope
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor & summarise quality and progress of projects
  • Minimise projects risks and report & escalate important issues to the management in a timely and effective way
  • Coordination of projects with the company’s core products:

The Software Project Manager will work remotely in a way that accommodates ET and/or CEST timezones and will join occasional company or clients in-person meetings as well as attend digital health fairs, events and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and sign off on specific requirements
  • Assist in the definition and sign off of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and while confirming technical feasibility internally
  • Ensure resources availability and adequate allocation across projects
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Organise regular qualitative retrospectives with clients and take action upon them
  • Ensure that all projects meet the necessary technical quality level by coordinating with and leveraging QA teams
  • Perform risk management to minimise potential strategic and execution risks
  • Measure, track and report on projects performance
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques and undergoing all necessary approval processes
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients and third parties/vendors
  • Develop comprehensive projects plans to be shared with clients as well as internally
  • Create and maintain comprehensive projects documentation

Education and Skills

The successful candidate will hold at least a bachelor level degree in business, technology or in public health, or alternatively will be able to demonstrate sufficient experience in software project management in digital health or in the context of health information systems.
