Responsibilities
• Work closely with country program and business development staff (remotely) to recruit international and national staff for senior-level positions on assigned proposals, primarily USAID and FCDO, using creative application of social media, networking and referrals to address specific recruitment challenges
• Support the proposal team in arranging interviews with the most compelling candidates for award-contingent roles.
• Provide support to the business development team on HR related issues such as determining salary ranges, salary banding, and guide the team through the recruitment approval process and any relevant donor requirements such as waivers.
• Negotiate salaries and allowances with prior approval.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources, business administration, social science or relevant discipline
• 4+ years of recruitment experience on competitive, donor-funded, international development proposals/projects with experience with USG (preferably USAID). FCDO and World Bank experience a plus.
• Broad knowledge of compensation & benefits, staffing, training and development, and international labor laws
• Experience sourcing and headhunting candidates
• Ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and geographical distances with sensitivity.
• Fluency in English required; fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic a plus.
