Our team and mission

The Programme Management Support Group undertakes effective resource planning and monitoring, including schedules, financial resources, procurement plans, workforce and asset management;  coordinates Directorate activities related to industrial policy and geographical return; is the custodian on behalf of the Director of the E3P Programme contingency financial allocation; maintains, by working in coordination with the E3P Programme Manager and the Strategy and Coordination Group, the consolidated ten-year E3P programme financial plan as a management tool and input to the financial part of the Agency’s Long Term Plan; implements a comprehensive Management Information System (‘dashboard’); enables successful project and programme execution by providing project control, IT and documentation configuration management, financial accounting and administration functions including support to procurement, contract changes, and risk management and provide a single interface to the Agency’s corporate services for areas falling under the responsibility of the function; among other tasks. 

 

The Project Control section provides the Directorate's projects with the management support functions needed for the successful undertaking of their duties. This includes but is not limited to the participation in the procurement of space systems, financial planning & controlling, risk management, schedule control, resource allocation.

Field(s) of activity for the internship

You can choose between the following topics:

 

1) Topic 1: Harmonisation and standardisation of the risk reporting process across the directorate’s projects

As an intern, you will continue the development of a centralized risk tool in the Directorate, to improve, extend and test its functionalities. You will also help in the implementation of the tool across all Directorate's project teams and design of risk reporting and dashboards.

 

2) Topic 2: Centralisation and harmonisation of detailed project workforce planning and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking and reporting

As an intern, you will continue the development of centralized tools for project team workforce planning and team deployments, to improve, extend and test its functionalities. You will also help in the implementation of the tool across all Directorate's project teams and design of project team reporting.

Education

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master’s level in a technical or scientific discipline.

Additional requirements

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

 

1) Topic 1: An academic background or professional knowledge in Risk Management and a good practical knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI is considered an asset.

2) Topic 2: An academic background or professional knowledge in procurement governance on space development projects and a good practical knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI is considered an asset.
