Role objectives |
The Social Worker will play a pivotal role in the Female Center through helping the beneficiaries conduct needs assessment, develop individualized plans and implement follow up and monitoring services. Each Social Worker will have an assigned caseload and will be the key worker responsible for overseeing the case management process form entry to exit. This will include coordinating the various services that will constitute the rehabilitation process, linking individuals to families and communities. As well as identifying external service providers in accordance with individual care plans with the goal of reintegrating according to defined Exit criteria. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews with individual at intake and complete registration process and documentation
Undertake initial needs assessments and document outcomes in case files - including identifying personal strengths, weaknesses, risk and protective factors
Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with other sectors and service providers in the centre which will meet specified standards and timescales
Maintain accurate case files including regular updates and progress of individuals against goals and objectives detailed in care plans and use information to prepare reports for the Exit board
Provide information regarding the entry and exit procedures and support services available to beneficiaries and their families
Ensure awareness of and compliance with safeguarding policies and practices
Liaise with, and make referrals to, other service providers both internally and externally
Coordinate case reviews and case conferences
Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings regarding, education, VET,
Provide psychosocial support services including guidance and basic, culturally appropriate, counseling services
Facilitate access to and contact with family including visits and outreach support services
Identify and facilitate linkages to community-based support mechanisms to optimize sustainable reintegration on exit as part of care plans
Identify options for reintegration alternatives including resettlement for individuals who may not wish to return to communities of origin
Participate in training, supervision and multidisciplinary team meetings
Recommend and contribute to making decisions about the best course of action for beneficiaries in line with individual care plan goals and Exit and criteria

Key competencies |
Education:
-Diploma in relevant field, i.e. social sciences, social work, psychology, teaching, healthcare and community development.
Experience:
- Prior work experience in Algeria is highly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in a related field working with vulnerable youth & adults within the health care, protection, human rights, education or community development/mobilization sector within an NGO, CBO or similar.
- Proficient in computer MS Office.
Languages:
- Must be fluent in Arabic and english & working knowledge of English is reqired.
